Eligibility for New York patients
Since 2022, New York has no fixed list of qualifying conditions. The certifying practitioner may certify any condition they believe medical cannabis would benefit.
No fixed condition list
New York does not require you to have a specific diagnosis from a fixed list. The certifying physician has discretion to certify any condition they believe medical cannabis would benefit.

Automatic registration
Once certified, you are automatically registered with the New York Medical Cannabis Program — there's no separate state application to file.
